Description
The 10th Trilateral Symposium organized by WHO, WIPO and WTO will take place at the UN Palais. The Symposium entitled "Facing the Future: human health and climate change", will explore the interrelatedness of human health, climate change and trade. It will be opened by the three Director Generals. The Symposium will bring together experts to improve understanding of existing and emerging priorities and approaches for meeting human health care needs due to the impact of climate change. The Symposium will explore how the Trilateral cooperation can support members to address health challenges arising as a result of climate change. It is timely as it could feed into health and trade related events at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28), which will take place from 30 November to 12 December 2023. The Symposium is open to Geneva-based delegations to WHO, WIPO, WTO, representatives of international and philanthropic organizations, experts on IP and trade, civil society organizations, and interested individuals and organizations. It will be held in hybrid format, in English only.
