Description
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize participants with the fundamental principles of the WTO Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS Agreement) and the associated rights and obligations. The workshop seeks to deepen participants' understanding of the Agreement's provisions on transparency; risk analysis; control, inspection and approval procedures; as well as the work of the SPS committee and the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. Participants will also have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of SPS tools and information sources, as well as the relationship between the SPS Agreement and the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
