The activity requested represents a level 2 activity mostly involving the government officials to improve their knowledge and understanding of the notification requirements in the WTO. Bangladesh, as an LDC, has certain administrative constraints and face difficulties in fully meeting the notification requirements of WTO. In certain areas notifications are pending. The activity will bring together relevant stakeholders and sensitize them on WTO's transparency obligations as well as the need to make timely notifications in accordance with relevant formats in different areas of WTO Agreements. A number of practical exercises would be undertaken as part of this activity to facilitate submission of notifications in due course.
