Description
The First IP & Innovation Researchers of Asia Conference, will take place from 31 January 2019 – 1 February 2019. It is modelled after the IP & Innovation Researchers Conference held in June in Geneva alongside the WTO-WIPO Colloquium for IP Professors, and forms part of the WTO's long-running collaboration with the academic community with the main purpose of strengthening the academic community's contribution to the IP and trade policymaking process. The two-day activity will consist of presentations of empirical research papers from university professors and policy makers with a focus on IP law-related issues in Asia, with a particular focus on distinct challenges for policymakers in developing countries in the region.
