Description
The workshop will convene policymakers, regulators and national standards bodies (NSBs) to discuss the pivotal role of standards in achieving policy objectives through regulation in the English-speaking African region. The overall objective is to to increase the awareness of stakeholders on the role of international standards in support of trade policy objectives and to enable greater regulatory convergence.
The regional workshop will be held in English for participants from 25 African countries: Angola, Botswana, Egypt, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
