Description
This workshop is jointly organized by Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), the National Standards Body of Thailand, and Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a global Not-For-Profit standards developer, and is supported by expert speakers from WTO and IEC. It is organized under the framework of the TISI-UL MoU that aims to promote communication between the two organizations, encourage standards harmonization, and utilize UL standards resources to strengthen the national standardization system in Thailand. The workshop aims to raise awareness of safety, harmonized standards and technical regulation to support Thailand priorities, facilitate trade, achieve regional ASEAN integration and sustainable development. It will provide training on the implementation of WTO TBT Agreement, and highlight the important role of TISI in supporting the Agreement's implementation in Thailand.
