Description
The Accessions Division is co-organizing this activity with the World Bank with a view to support the Government of Iraq in relaunching its WTO Accession Process. A delegation comprising 8 Iraqi officals from various ministries and government agencies will travel to Beirut to attend the workshop. They will report on recent developments in Iraq relating to their accession process and foreign trade regime, and discuss the challenges faced by the Government, as well as its needs for technical assistance. This will enable the preparation of a "tailor made" technical assistance programme and the identification of the steps and actions required for the official reactivationn of the Accession Working Party process.
