Description
The Workshop is organized by the Market Access Division (MAD) in cooperation with the Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation (ITTC) and the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI).

The Workshop offers specialized training to capital-based government officials with direct responsibility in the preparation, and/or coordination of notifications under the Decision on Notification of Quantitative Restrictions (G/L/59/Rev.1).

The four-day Workshop consists of two parts:
i) lectures, stakeholder analysis, project management and hands-on exercises on the importance of main rules and procedures applicable to quantitative restrictions (QRs);
ii) coaching sessions on the analysis of existing QR notifications and the preparation by participants of draft QR notifications;

The activity will be delivered in English.

Pre-requisite
The nominees are required to:
(a) be capital-based officials, working either for the relevant Ministry with direct responsibilities in the implementation or preparation of the notification on quantitative restrictions; or
(b) have demonstrably commensurate knowledge and professional experience in the preparation, coordination, implementation and/or analysis of trade permits, licensing and prohibitions.
(c) Fluency in English is required.
