The Workshop has been organised at the request of Peru. It aims to bring together the public and private sector to improve their knowledge of the SPS Agreement, in particular its transparency principle, and hold discussions to improve their national coordination in their management of SPS notifications. Peru also plans to bring regional and national experts to discuss good regulatory practices in the SPS area.
